Condition: Very Good: There are no holes or areas of repair. There are very small areas of minor discoloration. The blanket has a dramatic appearance and is nicer than the photos.
Description; This old Chimayo blanket is an exceptionally well designed weaving.
Chimayo weavings are not Native American, but were mostly woven in and around the village of Chimayo, which is north of Santa Fe, New Mexico, by descendants of Spanish settlers. There is an ancient Spanish American weaving tradition in New Mexico.
The item was from a San Francisco Bay Area, California collection.
