    Description

    This listing is for an original 1966 NASA Apollo mission scape suit.
    SCAPE SUIT (Self-Contained Atmospheric Protection Ensemble), used for the 1966 Apollo missions, which called for complete atmospheric isolation. These Suits were worn by the NASA fuel team whom handled the fueling of rockets /space craft, and worked in dangerous environments with oxidizers and fuel. This one is an early suit and is marked and dated twice inside with NASA stamp and serial / parts numbers and is dated 1966. The helmet is numbered which also corresponds with Apollo era suits and can be checked online. Quite a beautiful piece of history, design, and deserves to be in a museum. The inside has cords and coils and some speakers in the helmet for communications. The suit is in original 'dirty/used' condition. It is a wonderful piece!
