    RUBY AMBROTYPE AND MIRROR IMAGE TINTYPE OF EITHER A HAUNTED SLEEPING BABY (OR MORE LIKELY, SADLY, POSTMORTEM IMAGES), WITH THE STOIC MOTHER, HIDDEN BEHIND THE MAT OF THE AMBROTYPE.
    The mirror-image tintype does not have the mother visible at the margin. [No Place, but most likely the United States]: [No Photographer], [No Date, but circa 1859]. Pair of antique photographs. Ninth-plate ruby ambrotype (2 x 2.5 inches), and ninth-plate tintype (2 x 2.5 inches). Ruby ambrotype and tintype are both in their original mat, glass, and preservers. The ambrotype is in a half-case. A striking pair of haunting images, the ruby ambrotype of the stoic hidden mother and haunted baby (possibly post mortem), with the mirror image tintype. Both are in very good condition-- please carefully examine the photographs provided.
