    Description

For sale is a striking and beautiful group of Civil War Era ambrotypes.  The Images show Husband and Wife and two Beautiful Daughters all in period dress.  This group was found in an attic on the Southern part of the Eastern Shore of Maryland where many confederate troops came from.  Unfortunately the ID of these family members have been lost in time. The Husband is a Daguerreotype, the women are all ambrotypes. The two daughters are very striking. Condition of the photos is excellent with original glass and brass frames.  The Union Case shows some wear on high surfaces. The image on the top and bottom of the case shows a mother holding a baby with next to a dog and a
bassinet in the background.  The union case was made by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. with patent dates of October 14, 1856 and April 21, 1857. See photos for condition.
