Vintage Apollo 11 Moon Landing - Space Achievement, Newspaper, TRW Prints, Stamps
The following is a collection of vintage mementos commemorating man's first step on the moon, engineering marvels, and space exploration. The following items are included here:
1969 Apollo 11, First Man on the Moon, US Postage Stamp (not cancelled)
US Scott #1912-1919 Space Achievement commemorative sheet of 48 18 cent stamps (issued 1981)
Wednesday, July 16, 1969 Los Angeles Herald Examiner headline page with article titled, "Off to the Moon!"
Vintage TRW One Small Step Apollo 11 Memento portfolio folder w/ 8 full-size color prints. The portfolio folder is 14 1/4" x 11" and the prints measuring 11" x 14". There are 8 prints; however, 2 of them appear to be duplicates.
Condition:
First Man on the Moon postage stamp has never been cancelled by the US post office. This stamp is in good to very good condition with some discoloration along the edges.
Space Achievement commemorative sheet of stamps are in very good condition. These stamps have not been used or cancelled by the US post office. The edges are clean with on some slight discoloration and age spots.
The Los Angeles Herald Examiner headline page is in fair to good condition. This headline page has been cut from the original paper, which is not included here for sale. The page has some creases where the page was folded. The page has been yellowed due to age. Also, there are some minor bends, nicks, and tears along the edges.
TRW Apollo 11 memento portfolio is in fair condition with some discoloration, edge nicks, tears, bends, and age marks. The is worn and tearing along the fold of the spine. The prints are in better condition.
